Types of Plastic Valves

Plastic valves are generally divided into two categories: manual and actuated. Each type has its own subtypes. Materials for Plastic Valves

Plastic valves offer ease of operation due to their easy opening, lightweight nature, and compact size. They can be manufactured from various types of plastics. Types of Plastic Valve Materials

• PVC-U
• PVC-C
• PP-H
• PVDF

Each of the plastic types listed above has unique properties. For instance, PVC-U is resistant to temperatures between 0-60°C, whereas PVC-C can be used up to 90°C. PVDF is resistant to acidic fluids but has lower resistance to alkaline fluids with pH above 11. On the other hand, PP-H is resistant to organic solvents, oil removers, and generally corrosive environments. The choice of plastic valve material depends on the fluid’s pH, corrosive properties, and operating temperature.
