Globe Valves
Globe valve is the most frequently used valve type in installations all over the world. Like all frequently preferred products, the technology of these valves is developing rapidly. They are durable and long-lasting, suitable for frequent opening and closing.
Globe valves offer precise flow control and are suitable for use at high pressure and temperature. The most important reason why these valves are frequently preferred is their successful sealing at three different points. These valves, which owe their circuit tightness to the system that closes with the pressure of the rotating valve flywheel, provide external sealing with two different solutions. The sealing between the body and the cover is guaranteed with a gasket, and the sealing from the movement shaft to the external environment is guaranteed with packing rings.

General Information
Globe Valve Types
The globe valve, which is the most commonly used valve type in installations worldwide, has three different sealing methods.
Pressure Seal Globe Valve
In pressure seal valves, the sealing system is achieved by the valve’s metal-to-metal closure, where the valve stem, which is a metal closure element, sits on a metal disk.
Metal Bellows Globe Valve
The sealing system of these valves is developed with stainless steel bellows for stem sealing. The sealing system from the valve stem to the outside is supported by a bonnet-bellow-stem system inserted between the bonnet and the body. Additionally, a gland packing group serves as a temporary solution against leakage risks that may arise from bellows issues.
Piston Globe Valve
The sealing system of piston valves is metal-elastic. These valves feature two ring-shaped elastic rings and a piston inserted into them. This piston serves as the closure element. The pressure rings from the bonnet compress the piston inside with radial pressure, ensuring sealing. Due to the closure mechanism of the piston, sediments and dirt that may occur in the circuit are cleaned differently from other globe valves.
